Powder Blue + Florals....

Dress: Gap | Heels: Zara | Sunnies: Karen Walker Betsy (similar) | Earrings: Kate Spade |
Necklace: JCREW Factory | Bag: Ivanka Trump (similar) | Lips: c/o Kismet Cosmetics "Burnout" |

With Easter Sunday quickly approaching, I am definitely starting to bring out all of my favorite floral prints and pastel colored pieces. I am so drawn to the powder blue shade right now and literally cannot get over incorporating these shoes into just about everything I put on! On a side note..I am running my first 10k race this coming weekend in New Orleans (the Crescent City Classic..eek im so nervous!) so I will probably have fewer posts this week as I am training up for race day!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Birkenstocks Are Back....(I Know)

Blazer: c/o SheInside| Tee: H&M | Denim: Old Navy | Birkenstocks: c/o OnlineShoes | Clutch: Clare Vivier | Earrings: similar | Lips: c/o Kismet Cosmetics (OBSESSED) | Rings: Kendra ScottC. Wonder

Oh the Birkenstock trend....my high school self would be screaming with joy right about now!
Yes ladies, they are back. Whether we like it or not, everybody from Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to
Selma Blair and Heidi Klum are elevating the trend in a super chic way! Even designers such as Givenchy and Giambattista Valli are replicating the famous shoe into an elegant (and much more expensive) design. Don't pretend like you didn't wear these in high school...you know you did and your yearbook pictures probably tell that exact truth :) Quite honestly, I am all for the trend. If you have followed my blog for any length of you time you know my #1 requirement is always comfort (something I learned from my mom...if it's not comfortable I will never end up wearing it!) You honestly can't get more comfortable than a great pair of Birkenstock's.

For those looking to really dive head first into the trend...try these designer options below!

Resort Ready With Mary Kay....

Mary Kay
Mary Kay! We've all come to know the name...and we've all seen those gorgeous pink
Cadillacs driving down the highway (Elle Woods would be totally jealous!) If you are like me,
you have countless friends and family members who sell these delicious products, but have
you ever taken the time to actually test a few out for yourself?

I got the chance to do just that...and let me tell you what...I don't think I will ever look
at Mary Kay make-up the same way again...I am hooked!

Base:CC Cream in Natural | Bronzer: Light/Medium | Eyeshadow: Spring Duo Summer Sunset |
Eyeliner: Gel Liner with Application Brush | Lip Gloss: Cherry Twist | Nails: Lemon Parfait |

What I am wearing: similar BlouseDenimNecklace, Rings: Kendra ScottC. Wonder
Bold new shades for spring with the new WATERPROOF creamy eyeshadows!
My favorite product from the new resort collection...the Complexion Correction Cream.
It's perfect for throwing on a little something for a day at the beach without feeling overdone!
Also pictured: Nail Lacquer: Carefree Coral | Creamy Lip Color: Retro RoseCarefree Coral

The best part about the new Resort Collection from Mary Kay, is that it is designed for the woman who wants to look natural and beautiful without spending a great deal of time stuck in a daily beauty routine. I like to think of it as the ultimate beauty guide for summer 2014. If you spend a great deal of time at the beach during the summer, then investing in a few of these new products is an absolute must! You can easily throw on the cc cream plus a little bronzer and add in a dash of cherry lip-gloss for color and you are 100% good to go without having to wear a face full of makeup to the beach! Plus you have the added benefit of SPF 15 protection against the sun's harmful rays while looking totally chic and fabulous! Also, for those who love bright nail colors for spring should check out their new line of nail colors in lemon parfait and carefree coral (I am wearing the lemon parfait!).

Neon Eyelet....

Dress: JCREW (25% off code SPRINGISHERE) | Heels: Target | Hat: JCREW | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Earrings: Ily Couture | Rings: C. WonderKendra Scott | Lips: M.A.C. | Nails: Essie "Bikini So Teeny"

There's something about vibrant neon colors for spring (pinks, yellows, greens). Although not a new concept, I just love how neon colors are being incorporated into various trends this season (flouncy skirts, maxis, and eyelet dresses). This neon eyelet dress from J.CREW has the perfect details for a fun spring dress with the shirt-dress/eyelet combo. It's bold and feminine and is the perfect spring combo!

On a side note...it has NOT stopped raining here in south Mississippi! I think the past 4 weekends in a row it has decided to rain pretty much Friday-Sunday.These pictures were taken in my backyard on Saturday afternoon (in between downpours) and look how green everything already is for April!

Blushing in My Boyfriends.....

Sweater: Old Navy | Boyfriend Jeans: Old Navy | Heels: Zara old (idential here) | Bag: c/o Jane.com | Necklace: c/o Sassy Jones Boutique | Sunnies: Tom Ford | Rings: C. WonderKenra Scott

Lately, I have been making a conscious effort to try and avoid investing too much money into trendy pieces for the spring season and focusing more on investing in pieces that I can transition throughout the year. But one trend I just cannot get past is the stylish boyfriend jean. For one, they are super comfortable (which is always my #1) and secondly, I love how they can be styled in multiple ways. For those of you who want to test the boyfriend jean trend but not invest a tremendous amount of moo-lah should check out these fab boyfriend jeans from Old Navy for less than $20 (plus they come in several different washes and distressed or not distressed styles). I absolutely love them!

Stripes + Mint....

Mint Tulle Skirt: c/o Peace Love Tulle | Denim Jacket: here | Top: Rachel Roy | Tulle Puff: c/o Peace Love Tulle | Shoes: similar | Necklace: c/o Sassy Jones Boutique | Earrings: J.CREW sold out (love these    Bag: Prada | Sunnies: Karen Walker | Lips: M.A.C. Candy Yum Yum

Who doesn't love a tulle skirt right? As the epitome of femininity and sophistication, the minute I put on a tulle skirt it's as if I am immediately transported back to my ballerina days twirling around the dance studio in my tutu! However, one of the great things that I love about styling a tulle skirt is that there are multiple avenues one can take aside from it being a one-time-only piece. Just because a tulle skirt emits a dainty and soft vibe doesn't mean that you can't  put your own edge and spin on it. Dress it up with fancy pair of stilettos or dress it down with a denim jacket and a pair of flats..the options are endless!
